📢 Mirasium Call for Writers: Grab Your Pen, Leave a Mark on History!

Thank you for wanting to contribute to the Mirasium project and carry the cultural heritage of Anatolia into the future! Mirasium is a volunteer-based, non-profit personal cultural project.

Anatolia… The world’s largest and most mysterious library. But the shelves of this library are dusty, its books yet unopened.

As Mirasium, we are bringing this heritage into the digital world. Our aim is not merely to provide information; it is to build a quality cultural archive enriched with documents, maps, and art.

If you are saying, “I don’t just read; I research and I write”, we want you to have a volume of your own in this archive.

✍️ How Should You Write? (The Mirasium Style)

Our style: “Presenting academic rigor with the flavor of an essay.”

  • Quality Essay (Essayist Style): We expect fluent articles that present your own perspective, not dry encyclopedia entries.
  • Cite Your Sources: Every piece of information at Mirasium has a basis. Strengthen your writings with reliable sources.
  • Visual Archiving: Don’t let your writing be text only. Transform it into a museum with Public Domain engravings, maps, and photographs.

⚖️ No Fine Print, Just a Clear Agreement (Rights and Rules)

When you set out with us, your effort is protected. Let’s define the legal framework between us in a transparent manner, with the tone of a “friendly gathering” but with legal seriousness:

1. YOUR Rights as a Writer

  • Ownership Right: All copyright and intellectual property rights of your writing 100% belong to you. We do not take over ownership.
  • Freedom: After (or before) sending your writing to us, you can freely publish it on your own blog, in a book, or on other platforms.
  • Right of Attribution (Moral Rights): As long as the writing is published, your name and a short biography will remain below it as “Author.” You are the moral owner of the work.
  • Volunteerism: Our work is based on volunteering; no payment is made, but it brings prestige and a lasting digital signature.

2. Rights of Mirasium (Publishing License and Archive)

  • Publishing Permission: By submitting your writing, you grant the Mirasium project a “perpetual, irrevocable, and non-commercial” license to host, reproduce, and make the work available to the public in the digital archive.
  • Integrity of the Archive: We are building a digital library. For the sake of the system’s integrity and to prevent loss of references, published content is not removed unless there is a very serious legal violation. Requests like “I changed my mind, I want to withdraw my article” are not accepted, as they would have the effect of tearing a page out of a library book.
  • Guarantee of Non-Commercial Future: The permission you grant is within the project’s “non-profit” structure. If the project later adopts a commercial model, your separate permission will be sought for the use of your content. Your work cannot be turned into a commercial product without your consent.

3. Mutual Responsibility

  • Pledge of Honesty: You guarantee that the writing you submit is 100% your own, is not copy-pasted, and does not infringe upon the copyright of others.
  • Legal Responsibility: Any copyright issues arising from the content are entirely the legal responsibility of the author (you).

4. The Nature of the Digital World (Backup and Continuity)

Mirasium is a voluntary cultural service. While our goal is to keep this library open forever, there are always technical risks in the digital world.

Updates: As technology and laws change, we may update these terms. The latest version published on the site is always valid. When you submit a new article, you are deemed to have accepted the current terms.

Your Own Archive: To prevent the loss of your work in the event of possible server issues or future changes to the project, we strongly recommend that you keep a copy of your writings on your own computer (backup).
