Notification Format

Use the following subject line in your email:

Subject: Copyright Infringement Notice - [Infringed Work Title]

This way:

What You Need to Include in Your Notice

For a valid notice, you must provide the following information IN FULL:

1. Identity Information

  • Full name of the person submitting the notice
  • Physical or electronic signature
  • Contact information (address, phone, email)

2. Work You Believe to Be Infringed

  • The full URL of the work on Mirasium
  • The name and description of the work
  • Specify which part is infringed

3. Proof of Copyright Ownership

  • Description of the original work
  • Proof that you hold the copyright:
    • If you are the author/creator: identification and work information
    • If you are a representative: letter of authorization
    • If you are an institutional representative: institutional authorization document

4. Good Faith Statement

You must include the following sentence:

“I have a good faith belief that this notice is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or authorized representative. I accept the legal consequences of any false statement.”

Notice Process

1. Notice Received (24 hours)

  • We will confirm receipt of the notice by email
  • We will initiate the initial review

2. Review Process (72 hours)

  • We check the public domain status of the work
  • We assess the notice for validity
  • We request additional information if necessary

3. Decision and Action

In the case of a Valid Notice:

  • We will immediately remove the work or block access
  • We will inform you of the decision
  • We will flag it in our internal database

In the case of an Invalid Notice:

  • We reject the notice
  • We explain the reason
  • We keep the work on the site

4. Right to Appeal

If you wish to appeal our decision:

  • You can submit new evidence
  • You can suggest an alternative solution
  • You can initiate formal legal proceedings

Important Notes and Warnings

1. Consequences of a False Notice

According to the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) and similar regulations:

  • Filing a false notice may lead to legal consequences
  • Monetary damages may be claimed
  • Legal proceedings may be initiated

2. Public Domain Exceptions

A work may be considered public domain in the following cases:

  • More than 70 years have passed since the author’s death
  • Copyright has been waived
  • It was never subject to copyright protection
