1. Acceptance
By using en.mirasium.org, you are deemed to have accepted these terms.
2. About Mirasium
Mirasium is a non-profit personal cultural project run by Fatih ARS. Our aim is to share Anatolia’s public domain cultural heritage digitally free of charge. It is NOT a company, legal entity, or commercial enterprise.
3. Content Usage and Copyright Notices
3.1 CRITICAL WARNING: COPYRIGHT AND LICENSE VERIFICATION OBLIGATION
Applies to every work (photograph, painting, miniature, engraving, video, sound, music, document, etc.) displayed on Mirasium:
1. MIRASIUM’S POSITION: WE DO NOT GUARANTEE
- THERE IS NO WARRANTY regarding license/copyright status: We share works based on the license/copyright information in the original sources. However, this is NOT a guarantee, legal statement, or final approval.
- Possibility of Error: Works that are not public domain or have different licenses may have been inadvertently published.
- We cannot provide a guarantee for three main reasons:
- a) Source Dependency: Our information comes from third-party institutions.
- b) Complexity of Copyright Law: It varies from country to country and from work to work.
- c) Human Error: As an individual project, we have the possibility of making mistakes.
2. RISK AND LIABILITY BELONGS TO THE USER (USER IS RESPONSIBLE)
- Final Responsibility: Each user must verify the original source before using the work, and legal advice must be sought for commercial uses.
- False Logic: The logic “If it’s on Mirasium, it’s free” is INCORRECT and RISKY.
- Copyright Infringement: In case of copyright infringement, all legal liability belongs to the USER.
- Mirasium’s Role: The information on Mirasium is a tool; it is NOT the final source or a copyright law expert.
3.2 License Conditions for Text Content
The Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license applies to the text content on the site. It is a legal requirement to attribute Mirasium when using the texts.
3.3 Ethical Usage Rules When using public domain works:
- Cite the source (ethical obligation)
- Respect the historical context
- Pay attention to cultural sensitivities
- Do not distort history or take it out of context
- Do not use for hate speech or discrimination
- Do not present it as “my own work”
3.4 Attribution Examples

- If possible, also indicate the original source
3.5 External Content and Author Contributions All text content such as articles, translations, and analyses contributed voluntarily by authors to the site has been transferred by their authors to Mirasium (Fatih ARS) with all economic rights, unlimited, irrevocable, and without geographical restriction. Mirasium has the right to make editorial changes to this content and use it as desired. The moral rights (attribution) of the author are reserved. Content under this article may also be freely used by users, provided that attribution is given in accordance with the site’s general license policy (CC BY 4.0).

- There is NO warranty of accuracy, completeness, or suitability

- We DO NOT guarantee historical/academic accuracy
- Users should check original sources
- “Every public domain work you see is accurate” is FALSE
6.3 Access Guarantee
- We cannot guarantee 24/7 uninterrupted access
- There may be interruptions due to technical maintenance, updates
- We are not responsible for third-party service interruptions
6.4 Limitation of Liability Due to our individual project status:
- We are only liable for intentional errors
- We are NOT liable for indirect, special, punitive, or consequential damages
- Maximum liability: 0 TL (we have no income)
- Mandatory minimum liability under Turkish law applies

7.1 Our Resources
- We do not have corporate company resources
- We operate with a limited individual budget
- It is an entirely voluntary project

- We do not pursue profit
- We have NO revenue model
- NO advertising, sponsorship, or paid services
