Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Descends from Mount Hira After the First Revelation

Spiritual Greeting: It is narrated that as Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) left the Cave of Hira and began descending, not only the angels but also the stones and trees along his path greeted him, saying, “Assalāmu ʿalayka yā Rasūlallāh” (Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah).

The Appearance of Gabriel: While descending, he looked up at the sky and saw Gabriel (AS) in his true form, filling the entire horizon. This magnificent sight filled him with immense awe and trepidation.

Human Reaction and Consolation: Overwhelmed by this immense spiritual weight and the greetings of countless angels, the Prophet (PBUH) returned home and said to his wife Khadijah (AS), “Zammilūnī!” (Cover me!).
